Kennet and Avon Canal
Stretching for 87 miles the Kennet and Avon Canal links the River Thames in Reading with the port city of Bristol.
After falling into decay and neglect, the canal was painstakingly restored and fully opened again in 1990.
It is a popular canal for leisure boats and walkers
