I have to admit I thought long and hard before including the USA in the travel guide.

The US used to be a reasonable place to visit, although the first time I took my wife to the US she wanted to take the next flight home within half an hour of checking into our hotel. The reason being a shootout between police and drug dealers in our hotel car park.

That aside I would not recommend anyone visiting the USA whilst the Trump government remains in power, especially if you are non-white. With the prevelance of the US version of the Gestapo, otherwise known as ICE, it is dangerous for any non-white to visit.

Also to get a visa you need to make all your social media public to allow the US authorities to view your social media history for five years. So much for the First Amendment and free speech.

Mention Las Vegas and most will immediately think of casinos and gambling and it’s certainly true that the gambling halls dominate the city, although gambling is not the be all and end all and you could have a great time in Vegas without gambling a single dollar.
