London For Free

Before any pedants start complaining I know it is impossible for anything to be absolutely free. If you do not live in London you will need to get there and you will need somewhere to stay. So this guide assumes you are already in London and have sorted out where to stay.

You also, of course, need to get around. There is nothing wrong with leg power and Central London is easily walkable for any fit person, you also get to see some hidden gems you would otherwise possibly miss. Alternatively a one day travelcard is a cost effective way to move around the City.

A Zone 1-2 off-peak travel card costs £12.10 (Sep 2016) and provides unlimited travel on the tube and buses in most of central London. The suggestions in this guide are located in Zones 1-2, unless otherwise stated.

This guide is broken down into different categories so you can ignore the things that do not float your boat.

Some events need to be booked in advance, where this is a requirement it will be clearly stated in the guide.

Enjoy.
